Key Output
• Assist a mechanic / technician in servicing and repair machines and / or components to OEM standards and customer requirements while maintaining an orderly and safe workplace.
• Assist the mechanic(s) in performing moderate to complex maintenance and repair work on machines and / or components
• Know which tools are used for which jobs and ensure the mechanic / technician has them within reach
• Clean and maintain facilities and equipment
• Assist artisan to obtain and check parts for particular jobs
• Maintain a safe and orderly workplace
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Minimum Grade GG12/Matric
• Ability to obtain certification as forklift operator within 90 days of appointment
• Ability to obtain certification as overhead / jib crane operator within 90 days of appointment
• Ability to follow instructions under supervision
• Drivers licence – Code B will be an added advantage
• Verbal comprehension, Physical resilience
• Aiming (hand-eye coordination)
