  • Leading a Team of Service Assurance technicians to enforce quality controls , in line caterpillar repair standards
  • Achieve quality turnaround targets.
  • Resolve internal customer queries.
  • Effective control of cost centre expenses and WIP
  • Ensure effective communication between team and management.
  • Ensure service work is carried out in compliance with quality standards (OEM Guidelines).
  • Apply warranty policies and procedures; this includes warranty decisions and service warranty investigations.
  • Ensure outputs of service audits are achieved.
  • Development, Performance Management, and training of the productive team
  • Apply Barloworld Equipment leadership philosophy.
  • Achievement of a team environment that enables adherence to quality standard and process efficiency standards
  • Competency development of team.
  • On the job supervision – safety of team.
  • Reporting of team Key Performance Indicators and prospects.
  • Ensure CC/SOR compliance.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Grade12
• Trade Test qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic/ Earthmoving
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience as Caterpillar General Mechanic
• Stand in as Supervisor or as team leader or been a service planner
• Experienced trouble shooting and problem-solving skills on Earthmoving machines.
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic business and financial understanding.
• Computer literate and good business writing knowledge.
• Good and experiences on Caterpillar machine and product knowledge.
• Excellent technical, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Valid Drivers License
