Key Output

• Achieve warranty balance score card targets and KPI’s

• Control cost effectively on normal types of warranty claims

• Provide support for Warranty resolution

• Ensure effective self-management and performance ownership, driving warranty and service WIP

• Provide feedback on warranty issues to supervisors and artisans

• Decide on Warranty fitness of jobs / Prepare and ensure warranty claims are claim fit

• Develop / training on warranty skills for supervisors and artisans

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Grade 12

• Qualified Artisan will be advantages, (Mechanic in relevant trade e.g Diesel Mechanic/ Heavy Equipment Mechanic or relevant qualification

• 4 year’s post apprentice/learnership experience (1 years post red seal qualification as an artisan)

• Machine general technical knowledge and applied skills also understand warranty service principles

• Applicable product knowledge and good understanding of Caterpillar warranty process / system

• Basic financial acumen L1, Influencing and negotiating L1

• Technical report writing skill L1, Customer responsiveness L1

• Organisational awareness L1, Attention to detail L1

• Computer literate (MS Office, SIS & SAP/CRM – Warranty role) a must

• Problem solving and failure analysis skills L1
