Key Output
• To develop and fill a support role to optimize the financial and
operational performance of the MARC site through effective management of
people, customers, requirements and resources.
• Strategize, lead and manage the support team on a large, complex (Legacy
and EMPR) site, for the effective execution of the Fleet Maintenance
plan, over the life of the contract (5 to 10 years).
• Adopt a safety first approach in area of responsibility.
• Lead and manage the MARC Support Department on site.
• Develop and implement the formalised on site Planning Department
strategy that is aligned with the overall Maintenance and Repair
strategy for the MARC fleet.
• Work with the customer, site personnel and BWE Support areas to ensure
effective execution of the planning section Maintenance and Repair
strategy.
• Directly contribute to the long term profitability and sustainability of
the MARC.
• Oversee, facilitate and coordinate a fragmented Planning Department on
site for EMPR and Legacy (using different planning systems, supply chain
systems, storage locations and transportation) for all the planned
maintenance and repair interventions on site.
• Ensuring that the Supervisors execute the maintenance activities as per
weekly plan.
• Facilitation and coordination of reviewing and updating the long term
plan (component replacement schedule) every quarter.
• Obtaining input from the Condition Monitoring Department regarding
component health.

and statutory regulations in the "service pack" documents.
• Planning of all planned maintenance interventions on site - These
include weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance plans and obtain
customer approval for implementation
• Managing all part and component requirements to complete repair and
maintenance interventions.
• Managing the onsite backlog management system, backlog store and
backlog KPI’s.
• Analyse and distribute weekly and monthly site fleet performance KPI's
and relevant condition monitoring reports to key stake holders in order
to determine corrective actions required to improve and sustain
performance. This includes weekly fleet performance reports, Top 10
downtime report, Analyzer financial reports and condition monitoring
reports. These activities have long term contractual implications.
• Managing on site WIP, work order closing, and work order history.
Facilitate and co-ordinate of reviewing and updating the long-term plan
(component replacement schedule) every quarter.
• Incorporate corrective and predictive maintenance activities into the
plan based on input from the Condition Monitors
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• 5 years of previous Planning or Project Management experience
• Diploma in project management or planning and scheduling
