Key Outputs
• Develop apprentices according to BWE and national requirements
• Drive knowledge assessments (DPC/ SGAs) and provide input into IDPs for artisans
• Perform training needs analyses and schedule employees in own region for development and gap closure
• Coordinate the development of artisans according to established training needs
• Prepare, communicate and manage annual training plans for Service in own region
• Manage Service DPC administration in own region
• Comply with BWE and OEM Audit requirements
• Develop artisan coaching capabilities
• Conduct institutional training as prescribed by the Learning Academy and according to national qualification requirements. Assessment, Coaching and development of learners and artisans
• Ensure Technical learning compliance with supplier standards
• Arrange and manage learning events
• Assess learners and Artisans to comply with national qualification requirements
• Lead Learner POP teams
Qualification, Experience and Competencies Minimum
• Registered / certified Artisan. Qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) – “Red Seal”
• 4 years post trade experience
• Caterpillar Advanced Certified –advantageous
• Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation (CIAP) –advantageous
• ETDP NQ4, Certified Assessor and Moderator- advantageous
• Sound interpersonal relationship skills
• Computer Literate (MS Office & applicable caterpillar software applications)
• Trouble shooting and problem solving skills
• Applicable product knowledge
• Demonstrated practical and theoretical learning facilitation skill
• Technical Representative / Product Analyst / Technical Training Instructor experience is an added advantage
• Presentation skills
